Relativistic energy approach to calculating the forbidden transition probabilities in atomic spectra

Abstract

The bases of a new approach to calculating forbidden radiative atomic transition probabilities for complex systems are presented. The method is based on the energy approach and QED perturbation theory. In order to show the possibilities of the formalism there are presented the calculation data on the radiative transition probabilities in the ion of Hg.
