Estimation of atmosphere state reconstruction in the WRF-ARW model under cold fronts passing

Abstract

Severe cases for cold fronts passing trough the territory of Ukraine during cold season 2008-2009 are examined. General estimation of WRF-ARW v2.2.1 model biases from in-situ observation is obtained. Synoptic interpretation for spatial and temporal distributions of errors is proposed.
